Sub Zero Flash MicrositeSub Zero is a low-budget North East feature film shot entirely on digital video. Written and directed by Ian Dowson, this community film was shot in 28 days by a young North East drama group with the help of Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council and the Barclays Bank Community program.
The visual concept and design of the main menu page had already been mapped out by Sub Zero's PR department when North East video production company Superkrush approached me to develop the official broadband website in time for the film's World premier at Cineworld, Middlesbrough on February 9th 2006.
In addition to the Flash development work, my role included the design of each webpage to compliment the original concept by Jimmy Turrell, whilst remaining faithful to the fundamental themes and aesthetics evoked by the film itself.
The final website was completed in under a week using Flash to integrate animation, sound and video into a simple, yet compelling experience. |
